Chile Government announces that “Chile Day” will be held this year in London.

The Finance Minister Alberto Arenas, and InBest directory, headed by Alfredo Ergas, defined this year’s “Chile Day” will be held on 13 and 14 October in London.

The event aims to promote investments in Chile and highlight the political, institutional and financial stability.

Chile Day is an instance of public-private partnership, with the sponsorship of the Chilean Ministry of Finance and the British Embassy. Chile seeks to promote abroad as a highly attractive country for investment and as a financial platform of fund management for Latin America and emerging markets, and strengthen the links between our local capital market and its global partners.

It also is a great opportunity for foreign investors to make contact with leading entrepreneurs and executives from leading Chilean companies (domestic and foreign), as well as getting acquainted with the attributes, regulations and challenges of the Chilean capital market.

This event is attended by leading institutional investors with interests in Chile and actors of the international finance system. From our country, every year attends a large delegation with representatives of first level of a large group of Chilean companies, securities market participants, regulators and private actors in the financial system both locally and internationally.

The 2014 version is the eighth version of “Chile Day”. Four versions have been organized previously in the city of New York in the United States and three in the City of London, UK.
